Mengo Boxing Club, Uganda:
Some of Uganda’s best boxers come from Mengo Club. Like Ayub Kablul, Lubeya Joseph (actually in UK), Mubiu Martin (actually in Japan), Leo Rwaboogo (was a former boxer from Uganda), John “The Beast” Mugabi, Mohammed Kayongo (are actually in USA) and the Social Centre is one of the best boxing gyms in Kampala.

Alison Lapper, British disabled artist who is probably most famous for having a nude marble sculpture of her when pregnant placed on a plinth in Trafalgar Square. (The statue was made by a non-disabled sculptor… I think it’s kind of ironic that it took that, rather than her own work, to make her famous.) This is a triptych of nude self-portraits.
Her face in that first photo, damn.
Being a real life modern Aphrodite statue. Badass.

Braver - Gear Head
"We should not go to the people and say, “Here we are. We come to give you the charity of our presence, to teach you our science, to show you your errors, your lack of culture, your ignorance of elementary things.” We should go instead with an inquiring mind and a humble spirit to learn at that great source of wisdom that is the people."
