I don’t understand why some ppl are so rude.

a-life-of-grime:

Last night I wet to RiteAid. As I was standing in line, this man asked the cashier for some cigs. Here’s how the convo went down:

Man: I’ll take Marlboro’s

Cashier: (walks to the cigarettes) Okay which kind?

Man: What do you think? They’re cigarettes.

Cashier: (sighs) We have 100’s.

Man: Oh no, never mind. (walks out)

The man really put his hand up and shit. He had a serious attitude problem. For no reason. The cashier only asked him what kind of Marlboro’s he wanted and that dumb ass got upset. Like there are only one kind of Marlboro’s out there. Lights? Red? Menthol? Wtf

peace, wudup

iite so here’s the deal. the NYC tumblr meetup/conference is officially on for Saturday, June 16th, 2012 at 10am. it’s at the Rebel Diaz Art Collective (RDACBX) in the South Bronx. for those who driving, the address is 478 Austin Place 2nd Flr. South Bronx, NY 10455 (by 149th and Bruckner Blvd). MTA folks, take the 6 train to 149st, or the 19bx bus to 149th and southern blvd.

here’s the tentative agenda»

so, to be honest i dont wanna od on this and make it some extravagant event. what i really want is for ppl to just come thru to chill and meet each other. we needa get that out the way at least. i’m just formulating an agenda so we have at least some kind of direction for the day. but if ya don’t want that lemme know, we can switch it up.

to sum up the agenda, i wanna be talking about (not limited to) knowledge of self, kemetic sprituality, food and health, sex, body, art, photography, music, and poetry. i’m not worried about having facilitators cuz i think we as adults can hold down a respectful convo.

now, there are TWO things i ask from you who wish to come:

  1. email me at je31@msn.comto RSVP so i know who is coming/who might come in order to tally up the numbers
  2. donate whatever you can. RDACBX is asking for $400 to reserve the spot. so far ppl have donated $39.00. Donate!»»

hope to hear from you soon

spread the word plz!

peace.

Ayeee BX ! that’s not far from me :)

ugh!! i wanna goooo!!

Brutal incident at NYC McDonald’s: Self-defense or unchecked violence?
There is video of this on YouTube. We’re linking it instead of posting it, because it’s that violent and difficult to watch. Here’s what happened: Two customers got unruly after a McDonald’s employee wouldn’t give them their food until he could check the $50 bill they handed over. The customers started slapping him, and then jumped over the counter to confront him. What these unruly customers didn’t know is that the employee, Rayon McIntosh, recently got out of jail for manslaughter, and the incident set him off. He got a hold of a metal pole and started beating them savagely. One of the customers suffered a broken arm and fractured skull. The result? Both the customers and McIntosh got charged, in McIntosh’s case with felony assault. The chain and franchise owner have both come out against McIntosh’s actions, but the video itself seems to support a reasonable cause for self-defense, even if McIntosh’s own reaction was too heavy-handed (to put it lightly). Watch the video and see what you think. source

This is…shocking.
Not just the violence but the two customers’ behavior is just mind-boggling to me. How you can honestly walk into a restaurant and feel like it’s appropriate to not only hit/slap someone but call them names like “pussy” and “fucker” and then jump behind the counter to continue harassing the person serving you and not expect them to defend themselves? All over a goddamn Big Mac?

Heavy handed? I work retail, I’ve worked fast food… Any fast food worker who’ll send a guy to the hospital in an ambulance, rather than to the morgue in a moist squishy pile, is showing an amazing level of restraint.
