Got an anon asking if “that’s ANOTHER Palestinian flag” on my wall, and how “I shouldn’t smear such a quality post about Israel with Palestinian filth”

From Existence is Resistance:
In protest against Rockefeller Center putting up every flag at it’s center except the Palestinian flag, Existence is Resistance organized it’s 2nd annual Occupation on Ice.
The activist where split up with some skating on the ice and raising the Palestinian flag at a precise moment with those all around the center. Palestinian flags were in full display on the skating rink and all around Rockefeller Center. Many tourist cheered the action and were supportive.
The NYPD came and demanded that we put our flags down and leave, they said no flags were allowed but we said Rockefeller Center is filled with flags. We are simply asking them to include the Palestinian flag amongst the flags of the world. After some questioning and checking our id’s we were let go.

"Revolutionary solidarity is, above all, a revolutionary practice. What this means is that it carries within itself the aims of revolution. For this reason, as anarchists, we cannot base solidarity on any authoritarian or economic foundations. It is not a matter of obligation, duty, or debt. No one owes anyone solidarity, regardless of what they have done or what they are going through. Rather the basis of solidarity is the recognition of one’s own struggle in that of others - in other words, complicity. This is of major importance. If solidarity is the recognition of my own struggle in the struggle of others, it is carried out in practice precisely through continuing that struggle, continuing to attack this social order, and doing so with a focus on what unites my struggle with that of others."

WHAT IS ANTI-IMPERIALISM?
Monday 28 November, 6.30pm, University of London UnionThis year we have witnessed something that should be very worrying to all those that consider themselves anti-war, anti-imperialist and anti-racist. The British state has been at the head of a colonial war in North Africa, and there has been practically zero meaningful opposition to that war within Britain. In February 2003, two million people marched in London against war in Iraq. Only eight years later, all it takes is some reasonably sophisticated propaganda from the press and suddenly nobody is motivated to take a stand against wholesale destruction, widespread massacres and racist lynchings. The western empire is pushing its agenda of complete domination of Africa and the Middle East, by destabilising and attempting to overthrow all resistant, independence-minded states and groups (in particular Libya, Syria, Iran, Algeria, Hezbollah, Hamas). Dressing this up as a movement for democracy, they have thrown most people off the scent. We need to fully understand imperialist strategy and tactics, and develop our own strategy and tactics to oppose them.
