This one bugs me like hell. The men look like they’re going to kick some ass, ready to fight. The girls? (Cough-Smurfette-syndrome btw-cough) They look like they’re some random supermodels and thought it was a photo-shoot and started posing - which is why the guy to the left is looking at them like “Uh… You girls do realize that helicopter is going to shoot us down any minute, right?”
The incongruity between the poses (and sizes) of the men and women is amazing. The men look like they’re ready for battle, the women look like they are in a war-themed clothing shoot.

This particular commercial is an oldie, but it best shows how diversity and advertising to women can be done effectively.
The first person on the screen is a Black woman, a demographic rarely acknowledged by the industry.
12 seconds in you see two other women on the screen, one of them a VISIBLY FAT WOMAN with a combat shotgun shooting the hinges off a door while the other young woman kicks the door down.
When I first saw this commercial I SCREAMED.
SCREAMED because women of varying body sizes and races were being showcased as capable of kicking ass in the video game world.
THAT is the kind of advertising I want to see marketed to women.
You don’t have to fucking ‘tape a picture of a woman to the side of a commercial’
But you damn well better show women bringing it.
